At GP Strategies we are actively seeking an Head of Contract Delivery with expertise within a transformation plan/project to meet the service provison and service level requirements of the contract for our bluechip clients.

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following.

We are actively looking for a Head of Contract Delivery based in Derby,Derbyshire, who is skilled in apprenticeships to a senior level, combined with strong contract management and quality assurance expertise. A good communicator, who is hands on and used to working at a senior level within the apprenticeship sector will be ideal.

 

Job description:
 
As Head of Contract Delivery, you will use your strong organisational and communication skills to plan and manage the the client stakeholders in this hands on role, which will involve an initial period of due diligence of the existing provision followed by responsibility for the development and implementation of an agreed transformation plan to meet the service provision and service level requirements of the contract.  


Your main tasks will include:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Provide strategic direction and leadership for the successful delivery of the contract.
Development and implementation of a transformation plan which meets the service provision and service level requirements of the contract.
Establish external and internal benchmarks and appropriate KPIs as the basis for demonstrating the quality of contract delivery.
Attract and recruit the right people to work in contract delivery while developing and retaining talent. Ensure that appropriate performance management and succession planning is in place.
To act as the main contract/project lead with the customer reporting any specific service issues to the Vice President.
To identify and prioritise the development and training needs for staff and agree PDPs, appraisal and training plans as necessary.
Ensure that there is appropriate and accurate management information available to all those who need it, covering all areas within the remit of contract delivery.
Within the transformation plan to establish and implement a quality management and operational strategy/development plan for the contract/project
To assist with the development, implementation and updating of other contract and operational strategic plans.
To take the necessary steps to meet or exceed budget and strategic objectives within the project budget and your area of responsibility.
To develop and maintain quality systems in partnership with the Vice President and other Directors as required for specific projects/areas of operations.
To develop and maintain systems to effectively measure performance against established standards and customer/ contract KPI’s.
To monitor performance (in relevant areas) and conduct internal audits according to agreed quality standards and take necessary action to communicate/advise/assist according to performance levels.
To monitor and inform/communicate/apply standards created/maintained by external bodies, and integrate within internal quality management systems.
To establish and implement a communication strategy for the improvement and awareness of quality issues to the project team
To attend meetings with the GPSTL Board of Governance attending GPSTL meetings at least 4 times per year.
Provide a monthly progress report to the VP and project leads advising on short, medium and long-term opportunities/risks. Ascertain emerging issues/barriers that might affect GPSTL brand or plans.
Provide a full update of the previous month’s activity outlining strategic activity and updates carried out within each calendar month.
To hire objectively, provide objectives, staff development and employee feedback. To conduct employee appraisals in a professional work related manner, reviewing previous performance and establishing objectives for the subsequent evaluation period.
To ensure that GPSTL and client policies are implemented and maintained at all times.


About You:


The ideal candidate will have the following skills;

Essential Requirements:


High standard of secondary or further education.
Skilled in apprenticeship quality and contract management expertise.
Extensive expertise in a leadership or staff management role.
Excellent knowledge of the apprenticeship industry.
Knowledge of Ofsted Common Inspection Framework and other established standards.
QMS auditors certification
Knowledge of quality, diversity and health and safety systems.
Highly computer literate.
Excellent administration skills.
Advanced communication and networking skills, with ability to negotiate with external senior managers.
Acts professionally and is presentable at all times.
Willing to travel.
Car owner and driver.


Desirable Requirements:


Strategic leadership skills at MD/CEO level.
Professional qualification/Degree.
Extensive quality and contract management expertise.
Recognised training and management qualifications.
Recognised quality or health and safety qualification.
Expertise of graduate development programmes.
Expertise in an engineering environment
