Fixed Term Contract
 
Location: Solihull (Birmingham Business Park)

We are actively recruiting for a HR Advisor for a long term contract (c12 months) starting in 2019!
 
As Human Resources Advisor, You will work as part of a busy HR team on all employee relations.  You will provide comprehensive, pragmatic and customer focused HR support to employees and managers.
 
Working within a corporate human resources environment, you will work closely with the HR Business Partner and provide quick and accurate professional advice on all employee relations related business matters.  This is a busy and varied role with the opportunity for growth.
 
The Role:
 
  • Providing committed HR advice on issues to include all Employee Relations (ER) related matters, organisational change and employee and employment relations
  • Developing and maintaining productive & collaborative relationships with partners, colleagues, service areas and union representatives, demonstrating professional credibility
  • Leading management of your own casework including sickness, absence, making recommendations, giving support and advice to managers
  • Developing managers in performance management by leading the capability-related casework, guiding and advising managers with relevant policies
  • Support on grievance and disciplinary casework, ensuring the implementation of policy, legislation and best practice
  • Provide TUPE support during mergers and acquisitions
  • Liaising with operational managers and finance officers in ensuring maintenance of staffing establishments within budgets
  • Keeping up to date information regarding developments in human resources practices, employment legislation, and sharing of knowledge within the team
  • Providing support and guidance to the HR administration team

    Experience required:
     
  • CIPD qualified level 7, or part qualified studying towards level 7
  • Sound knowledge of practices of Human Resources
  • High-level knowledge of legislation of employment
  • Ability to ease discussions with groups and individuals
  • Good judgment and decision-making skills
  • Able to motivate and empower others to reach organisational goals
  • To work cooperatively with other team members
  • Strong prioritisation and organisational skills with capability of managing a high workload
