Job Summary

Designs and develops ILT and WBT instructional material for technical training courses pertaining to automotive manufacturing equipment and other subjects. 
Deliverables include course design documents, objectives, scripts, storyboards, instructor guides, student guides, PowerPoint presentations and knowledge assessments. 
Demonstrates and utilizes effective time management, course development, and technical writing skills. 
Able to independently conduct research and develop entry and advanced level courses for both internal and external audiences. 
Utilize multimedia technology and authoring tools. 
Work with client subject matter experts and stakeholders, including personnel from manufacturing engineering and plant trades personnel to determine skill gaps and training content to include the objectives of the course and appropriate method of delivery. 
Develop Curriculum for training based on specific equipment, processes, and other topics.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in applied science
  • Bachelor of Science (preferred, must be a degreed ISD).
  • Five + years' experience in Instructional Design and Course Development or applicable experience
  • Previous work/training development experience for automotive manufacturing a plus. 
  • Technical writing skills.
  • Training development experience pertaining to manufacturing controls and robot technology is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work in cross-functional & cross-cultural environment.
  • Ability to work independently or on a team.
  • Technical Writing, multimedia, curriculum and course development.
  • Automotive manufacturing technical background a plus.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technology.
  • Experience creating Web based training and Instructor Led Training courses. 
  • Familiar with project management tools.
  • Competent user of multimedia authoring tools, particularly Captivate, Articulate Storyline 3 and /or 360.
  • Windows Outlook/Word/Visio/Excel/Adobe tools
