We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Leadership Development Consultant to join our team. The incumbent will play a critical role in designing and implementing leadership development solutions that drive organizational success. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leadership development, instructional design, and learning technologies, coupled with expertise in diversity, equity, inclusion (DEI), and organizational psychology. This position requires a balance of creative vision, strategic thinking, and executional excellence.

Job Summary

Consultation and Design:

 

  • Work with sales to understand client leadership needs.
  • Design and develop customized learning journeys tailored to various leadership levels within organizations.
  • Collaborate with clients to identify the most effective learning modalities (e.g., workshops, e-learning, simulations, coaching).
  • Craft compelling pitch responses and contribute to sales presentations.
  • Collaborate with teams to prepare and deliver final presentations to prospective clients.
  • Provide ongoing consultation to ensure the successful implementation of learning journeys.
  • Lead the instructional design of programs, incorporating best practices in adult learning and leadership development.
  • Develop engaging, effective learning content using various tools and technologies.

 

Instructional Design:

 

  • Apply instructional design principles to create impactful learning experiences.
  • Ensure content aligns with organizational goals and addresses the unique needs of different leadership levels.
  • Stay current with trends and best practices in leadership, DEI, and learning technologies.
  • Utilize learning technology platforms to deliver and track learning outcomes effectively.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in leadership development, instructional design, and/or consulting, together with the ability to think creatively and strategically, to create innovative and practical learning solutions to address clients’ needs.

  • Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Organizational Psychology, Education, Business, or a related field.
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering results.
  • Demonstrated ability to design learning programs for different organizational levels.
  • Familiarity with learning technology platforms (e.g., LMS, content creation tools, LxP).
  • Knowledge of DEI principles and practices.
  • Aspirational desire to participate in thought leadership opportunities which could include writing articles, creating podcast content, and contributing thought leadership in leadership development and DEI.

Also desirable:

  • Experience contributing to thought leadership (e.g., publications, speaking engagements).
  • Certification in instructional design or leadership assessment tools.
