GP Canada Co., A division of GP Strategies, is looking for dynamic, motivated, results-oriented Learning Experience Designers for entry and intermediate levels, off-site throughout Canada, for freelance or contract positions. 

 

About the Learning Experience Designer

  • You will identify and define learning outcomes through consultation with customers and other stakeholders and provide best-in-class digital learning experiences
  • You will be scripting and storyboarding content, and create end to end design for digital learning solutions
  • You will participate in peer reviews and group content development discussions
  • You will co-ordinate with different teams across the business to develop digital learning content and assets

Are you the right person for the role?

  • You have proven experience of end to end design of digital learning solutions
  • You use best practices in learning design and instructional design, as well as user interface and user experience design
  • You are an expert in storyboarding techniques
  • You can write clear, user-friendly training material 
  • You have fluency with digital learning development tools (e.g., Captivate, Storyline, Lectora, Photoshop)
  • You can plan manage, time and commitments for multiple projects
  • You effectively communicate conceptual ideas and detailed design to internal and external teams

Do you have the skills it takes to succeed?

  • 5+ years as a (learning experience) designer
  • A demonstrable portfolio of work (professional and personal) which showcases the digital applications you’ve worked on
  • Proven experience delivering effective and innovative digital learning/training according to templates, publishing standards, and technical specifications
  • A positive and resilient personality: you must be able to embrace feedback and have a desire for continuous iteration and improvement
  • Comfortable working in a self-guided manner
  • Comfortable working within tight timeframes and with working creatively within specific constraints
  • Ability to work within content guidelines with a desire to push existing standards to the next level
  • Excellent written and spoken English (bilingual English/French is an asset)
  • A degree in journalism, communication studies, creative writing, technical writing, instructional design or related field
