Summary
GP Strategies, a global implementor of human performance support solutions, is seeking an experienced software developer with experience implementing and supporting Human Capital Management configurations and solutions in the Oracle Cloud HCM environment. This is a permanent, full-time position on the IT Services Software Solutions Team requiring an experienced and flexible software developer capable of managing a wide range of tasks related to the configuration and optimization of the company’s core HR information system.
Essential duties/responsibilities
· Gathers requirements for all HCM configurations in the Oracle Cloud environment
· Analyzes, designs, develops, deploys and supports Oracle Cloud HCM solutions
· Collaborates with process owners to identify business process refinements and best practices, implementing necessary changes in Oracle Cloud HCM to improve their effectiveness and efficiency
· Documents configurations and solution designs to aid in knowledge sharing and compliance with team, IT and corporate requirements
· Mentors other developers to improve overall team capabilities in support and enhancement of the Oracle HCM environment at GP Strategies
· Builds and maintains reports and data extracts to support Oracle HCM process automation
· Manages work tracking and backlog information to facilitate work processing optimization and visibility to stakeholders
· Defines, implements and promotes Oracle HCM best practices across the organization
· Supports and advises on a strategic direction of the Oracle HCM platform
Required skills/experience
· 4+ years of experience developing Human Capital Management solutions on the Oracle Cloud Platform specifically in the areas of:
1. Payroll (Mandatory – UK & USA Payroll)
2. Core HR
3. Absence
4. Oracle Time and Labor (OTL)
5. Experience with HDL
· Experience with Oracle Recruit Cloud is desired, but not required
· 4+ years of experience testing and validating solutions on the Oracle Cloud Platform in the aforementioned modules
· Understanding and experience with requirements gathering and testing techniques related to the Oracle Cloud HCM platform in the aforementioned modules
· Solid understanding of and experience with standard HR business processes and their relationship to Oracle HCM capabilities
· Ability and willingness to flexibly adapt to rapidly changing business requirements, priorities and technical environments
· Experience with standard application lifecycle management processes (e.g., change management, transition to operations, deployment etc.)
· Excellent organizational and communications ability; ability to present effectively to non-technical staff
· Excellent work management skills and ability to work within an organized backlog management framework
· Ability to work both independently and within a team setting
· Comfortable working with staff from all levels in a corporate environment
Preferred skills/experience
· Experience applying Agile software development practices to BI projects
· Experience with requirements gathering best practices
· Experience mentoring in HCM concepts and technologies
