GP Strategies has an exciting opportunity for a Project Controls Analyst to work the Mobile Launch 2 NASA contract in Titusville, Florida.

The Project Controls Analyst will manage the financials for the contract GP Strategies has with ML 2 for NASA.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Analyzes financial portions of the project to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.

• Develops a contract budget baseline with time phased resource loaded schedules and measures progress.

• Reviews and analyzes cost and schedule variances identifying anomalies with recommendations for corrective action.

• Provides financial assistance to cost account and sub account managers.

• Conducts independent assessments based on the status of project activities and formulates financial projections based on statistical data.

• Reviews available funds and compares against remaining work.

• Supports AR/AP and purchasing activities.

• Assists with the development of proposals and pursuit of business development opportunities.

MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelors in business or STEM field preferred
Must have exceptional Excel skills and an understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM) practices.

Work Location:
Titusville, FL
Work hours:
M-F 8:00am to 5:00 pm
Travel:
Local travel is required (between GP office and client site)
Long distance travel (>50 miles) is estimated at 20%

General physical requirements needed to perform the essential functions of this job may include:
Sedentary Work – Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Close visual acuity to prepare and analyze data, view computer monitor, and read. Inside environmental conditions with protection from outside elements.
