The Senior Recruiter reports directly to the HR Director, APAC and work together with the team of recruiters to co-manage and support the recruiting process in our India office located in Chennai.

The role will primarily drive and co-manage the full cycle of recruitment activities, including establishing strong partnerships with hiring managers by understanding their talent needs, providing strategic hiring recommendations and influencing stakeholders as a trusted talent advisor. He/ She will work closely with post recruitment HR team on proper handover of candidates’ data and documentation to ensure a consistent and comprehensive recruitment experience.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Work with business to identify current and future talent needs and proactively plan and develop strategy to source for such talents.

  • Co-manage the recruitment process to include sourcing, screening, and selection of ideal individuals.
  • Co-manage the recruiting pipeline to include identifying appropriate resources and tools, coordinating recruiting events (e.g. campus recruitment) and sourcing activities, managing vendor relationships and the referral process.
  • Create, build, and maintain networks of potential passive candidates to fill future anticipated and planned roles.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with hiring managers, region and global recruitment teams to create partnerships that yield success, predictable results, and credibility.
  • Effectively communicate updates and recruiting progress with all stakeholders and proactively keep others informed, as appropriate.
  • Serve as a liaison with employment agencies, education institutions and industry associations.
  • Provide timely and regular recruiting reports on employment activities.
  • Work on additional HR initiatives and projects as and when needed.

 

Education/Experience Required

  • Degree holder with a minimum of 7 years’ experience in a recruiting environment with proven track record.
  • Prior experience of utilizing different sourcing techniques i.e. LinkedIn/job portals/ social media/ /search firms/referrals.
  • Strong customer service focus, with the ability and desire to service. customers using keen listening, questioning, acknowledging and informing skills.
  • Collaborative work style with the ability to build strong relationships and work with a team approach.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills, with ability to multi task while maintaining high degree of attention to detail and accuracy under pressure.
  • Ability to multi task effectively when working on a number of vacancies at different stages simultaneously and in addition to other key business deliverables.
  • Strong relationship management skills, organizational skills, coordination skills and ability to work cross-functionally and cross-organizationally.
  • A team player who is able to work well with all levels.

  • Previous experience working with applicant tracking systems (experience with Taleo Enterprise would be advantageous), including experience working on CTC computations.
  • Computer literate: competency in current MS Office packages.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
