Tax Associate

Based at the Company’s European Corporate Services Centre in Bredbury, UK, the Tax Associate will support the Tax compliance and advisory services for Operations in EMEA (currently 23 countries including the UK, Denmark, and Netherlands).

This is a unique opportunity to join a small in-house team of experienced tax professionals providing exposure to international taxes within a growing multinational organisation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Support accurate and timely tax reporting under US GAAP for EMEA, in line with accounting policies.

  • Support all tax and local statutory tax accounting obligations for subsidiaries within EMEA for forecasts, quarterly and year-end provisions, and final statutory accounts.


  • Support all corporate income tax, VAT, GST, and other tax compliance obligations and filing requirements, including support of audits which may arise.  Specifically:

    • EMEA VAT returns preparation

    • Support the compilation of tax analysis for the UK tax computations

    • Corporate income tax returns support in all other jurisdictions within EMEA

    • Liaise with in-country accountants and external advisors within EMEA

    • Support the calculation of UK quarterly instalment payments (QIPs)

    • Obtaining Tax certificates of residence

    • Payment requests to the Cash team for VAT, CIT and other tax payments according to statutory deadlines

    • Tax account general ledger reconciliations


  • Support advisory responses to tax related internal inquiries from the business.


  • Ensure tax adherence to SOX 404 and internal control requirements of the Company.


    About You


  • Ideally you will have some professional qualifications (ATT / AAT) and have a thorough knowledge UK corporate tax and/or VAT compliance.

  • You will be an accounts or tax professional with experience gained in a large corporate or national accountancy firm with a keen an interest to pursue a career a tax.

  • Organised and methodical individual, with the ability to plan and organise work effectively, delivering to deadlines.


  • Excellent communicator, both verbally and written, adopting the most appropriate medium for the situation.


  • Strong excel skills are essential.

  • Ability to work accurately and conscientiously; attention to detail.
